7 Ways to Celebrate Earth Hour

Climate change is real and the need to protect our environment has never been greater. Over the last few years, organisations and individuals have all been playing their part as they lobby for more attention and support for such issues; Earth Hour is one of these examples.
Earth Hour is a worldwide movement initiated by the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF). This annual event is the biggest switch-off event as millions of people from across the world switch off their lights for an hour and organise events within their own homes and communities.
Over the years, various cities have also shown their support for the cause by turning off their lights across major landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House, Buckingham Palace, the Eiffel Tower and more.

1. Be at an Earth Hour event
Some of Bangkok’s biggest landmarks such as the Grand Palace and Rama IX Bridge will beturning their lights off for an hour. There will also be festivals and events organized throughout the weekend of Earth Hour!

2. Travel lite
If you are already heading out with your loved ones for the weekend, why not opt for a greener mode of transport? Reduce your carbon footprint by considering other alternatives to driving such as walking, riding a bicycle or an electric-scooter – which produces zero carbon emission.
